She has worked with the Honors Program since 2009 and, while serving as faculty advisor to\u00a0The Pavan, the literary and art magazine of Â鶹´«Ã½AVPeter\u2019s University, she\u00a0also sings with the Aidan C. Bastek Honors Center<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Honors Program offices are located on the second floor of 127 Glenwood Avenue in the James V. Bastek Honors Center. The space was created through the generous donation of alumna Carol Potyrala Bastek, Ph.D., Class of 1970, in memory of her husband, James V. Bastek, M.D., Class of 1967.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Known affectionately as \u201cthe Honors House\u201d to Honors students, the James V. Bastek Honors Center is available for students to utilize for individual quiet study, study groups or team meetings, and socializing, as well as a classroom space for small Honors seminars. Along with the Social Justice Program, located at 125 Glenwood Avenue in the King-Kairos Center for Social Justice, the Honors Program maintains the backyard of these properties as a campus green space and community garden for the enjoyment of all members of Â鶹´«Ã½AVPeter\u2019s University.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saintpeters.edu\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/126\/files\/2024\/07\/Bastek_photo_collage2_optimized.png\" alt=\"collection of photos from the John V.
