The Department of Theology offers both a major and a minor in Theology.<\/span><\/p>\n

Requirements for Theology Major<\/span><\/h2>\n

Degree of Bachelor of Arts<\/span><\/h3>\n

Six of the required credits for the major count towards the Core Curriculum Requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/colgroup>

TH-120<\/span><\/td>Intro to the Study of Christianity (or any 300-level course) 1<\/sup><\/td>3<\/td><\/tr>\n
TH-300<\/span><\/td>Methods and Sources of Theology<\/td>3<\/td><\/tr>\n
TH-301<\/span><\/td>Modern Christian Community: The Church<\/td>3<\/td><\/tr>\n
TH-320<\/span><\/td>Old Testament Introduction<\/td>3<\/td><\/tr>\n
TH-330<\/span><\/td>New Testament Introduction<\/td>3<\/td><\/tr>\n
TH-350<\/span><\/td>Who Is Jesus Christ?<\/td>3<\/td><\/tr>\n

Special Notes on Major Requirements<\/span><\/h4>\n
1<\/sup><\/td>

Theology majors may take up to nine credits in approved cognate courses in other departments in fulfillment of the Theology electives requirement.<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

2<\/sup><\/td>

Courses in Classical and Modern Languages and in Philosophy are strongly recommended.<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

3<\/sup><\/td>

Students considering a major in Theology should take TH-110<\/span><\/span> and TH-120<\/span><\/span>\u00a0(or any 300-level course) in their Freshman year. The Core Philosophy courses should be taken in Sophomore year.<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

4<\/sup><\/td>

Every student majoring in Theology must submit a Capstone Project during senior year according to departmental guidelines. The Honors thesis fulfills this requirement.<\/p><\/td><\/tr><\/table>\n

Requirements for a Minor in Theology<\/span><\/h3>
